Not only will you have a few more seconds to consider your next sentence, speaking slowly also makes you appear more trustworthy. By slowing down a bit, you’ll feel more confident when speaking.
Visualize yourself speaking. By imagining yourself speaking in a way that is clear and fluent, you will feel more confident. Visualizing success is a little trick used by entertainers, athletes, and many others! What is in your mind often becomes reality, and visualizing a positive outcome when you speak, can make it so.
