Beginning in late January of next year, kids will have access to a winter program at our English language school in Hawaii! We know that for kids, learning has to be fun. What better place to interact with children from all around the globe and participate in fun activities, while improving their ability to speak the most important language in the world, than our beautiful state?
We understand that younger children can’t be expected to sit in a classroom for seven or eight hours a day. This isn’t the best way for kids to learn English, as they become bored and fidgety. Our approach is to help kids learn and improve their English language skills during the morning hours, then offer a variety of activities in the afternoon that, while educational, also allow them to experience culture and have fun. For instance, what child wouldn’t love to participate in outdoor hiking or visiting some of our wonderful museums? It’s all about keeping kids interested and engaged, so that, as they grow older, they’ll appreciate how much easier and more diverse their lives are because they learned the English language.
What’s really fun is when children from all around the world who speak different languages learn how to interact with each other by communicating in English! It becomes the ‘universal’ language of all of the children, and considering the history, culture, arts, sports, and other elements intertwined in the learning experience, kids find it fascinating and fun. There aren’t many educational opportunities that young children find exciting – one reason our English language school stands apart.
Our kids winter English program is for children ages 7 to 12, and begins mid-January in 2017. The application deadline is January 6, so be sure to mark your calendar!
